Text Message — غيرِك | Arabic Poetry Art Print | ENJZ
Original giclée on Hahnemühle archival paper. Signed and numbered by the artist.
«غيرِك»
English: Anyone but you.
This piece begins where a poem ends. A text message written in Lebanese Arabic — the kind that arrives at an ordinary hour and says something that cannot be unsaid. By the end of it, one line holds everything: the eyes, the problem is, don't see anyone but you. The word is not a declaration. It is a diagnosis. The person writing it has noticed something about themselves — that the world has quietly rearranged itself around one person, without asking.
The calligraphy opens outward, heavy at the centre and dissolving at the edges, as if the word is still being released. Orange marks interrupt the black — not decoration, but punctuation that insists. Beneath the main script, a ghost of the same word turns in the linen ground — echo, or memory, or the thought before it became language. The composition has the feeling of something said too loudly in a quiet room.
Printed as a limited-edition fine art piece, available in multiple sizes from A4 to A0. Edition sizes: A4 (15), A3 (12), A2 (10), A1 (5), A0 (3). Each print is produced on archival-quality Hahnemühle fine art paper to preserve depth, texture, and tonal nuance.
ENJZ works with Arabic language as both meaning and material — original writing turned into visual works. The text in this piece is not transcribed or decorative. It was written by the artist.
