The Tryptich - ثلاثة أجزاء
“كانت وردة وكنتِ اللوحة وكنتُ أنا الرسام”
“There was a rose, you were the canvas and I was the painter.”
This work originates from a single verse written by the artist, structured as a quiet triad of presence, surface, and gesture. The rose is introduced not as an object of depiction, but as a point of origin. The beloved becomes the canvas, and the self appears only through the act of making.
Rather than narrating a relationship, the composition suspends its roles. Text drifts across layered fields of color, dissolving hierarchy between subject and author. Creation is suggested without spectacle—intimacy unfolds through restraint, repetition, and spatial balance.
